The English Premier League Season So Far

The Barclays English Premier League is only 7 games old and the season so far has been nothing short of amazing. We have 2 of the stronger contenders sharing the top spot with 17 points in Chelsea and Liverpool with the surprise package Hull City in third position. Their last two wins over the London teams in the form of Arsenal and Spurs were done with sheer commitment and class. Geovanni's goals in the two matches were world class.

If the first 7 matches are anything to go by, we will be in for one heck of a football season. We have seen some amazing moments already this season with Babel's winner for the Reds over the Red Devils, the Abu Dhabi backed Manchester City's thumping of Portsmouth and of course, not forgetting Hull's amazing victory at the Emirates.

As many of the pundits on ESPN's Football Focus mentioned, the titles are never handed out in October. But, a good start is vital as it will garner momentum as the season gets tougher with the flurry of matches coming fast and furious.

The season is finally getting into gear and for the football fans out there, just sit tight and enjoy the football whichever team you are rooting for. I definitely know who I am rooting for!
